Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated:
Gunorbit (“the Game”) is a mobile game for iOS, iPadOS and Android published by Codenova Tech (“Codenova”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the Game collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
- There is no account. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or password.
- Your progress (coins, guns, upgrades, season, settings) is stored only on your device.
- We use Google Firebase for pseudonymous analytics, crash reports and remote settings.
- Google AdMob shows ads. Where the law requires it you are asked for consent first, and on iOS you choose whether to allow tracking.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
- We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect
Game data stored on your device
Coins, stars, guns, finishes, upgrades, power-ups, season progress, the run you are on, sound and haptics settings, and your purchase entitlements (for example, that you own Remove Ads) are saved in the app's own storage on your device. This data is not uploaded to us. Uninstalling the Game or using Settings → Reset Game deletes it.
Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)
Pseudonymous gameplay and usage events, such as rooms started and cleared, coins earned and spent, screens opened, ads shown, purchases started and completed, and session length. Events carry a random install identifier created by the Game on first launch, the Firebase app instance ID, app version, device model, operating system version, language and approximate country (derived from your IP address by Google). Where consent is required, no analytics event is sent until you give consent.
Crash and diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the Game crashes or hits an error, we receive a crash report: stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version, free memory and disk space, and the time of the crash. We use it only to find and fix bugs.
Remote settings (Firebase Remote Config)
The Game downloads a small settings file so we can tune balance, ad frequency and features without an app update. The request includes the Firebase installation ID and standard app and device information.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Ads fund the free version of the Game. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking; Android Advertising ID on Android), IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. On iOS, if you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not available and ads are shown without it. Ad content in the Game is limited to content suitable for teens.
Purchases
In-app purchases (coin packs, Gear Kit, Starter Pack, Remove Ads and Elite Pass) are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive only the product identifier, a transaction identifier and whether the purchase was valid. We never receive your card number, billing address or store account details. Purchase events (product, price and currency) are also recorded in analytics.
Leaderboards (Game Center and Google Play Games)
If leaderboards are available in your version of the Game and you are signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), the Game submits your rank to that service, which shows it next to your player alias. Apple and Google handle the sign-in. We do not receive your account credentials.
Ratings prompt
The Game may occasionally show the standard Apple or Google “rate this app” prompt. Any rating or review you leave is handled by the store, not by us.
Support emails
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and use it only to reply.
2. What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address, phone number, or password.
- No precise location. The Game never asks for location permission.
- No microphone, camera, photos, contacts or files. The Game never asks for these permissions. (iOS lists a microphone and location description only because software libraries inside the app reference those features; the Game never uses them.)
- No push notification token. The Game does not send push notifications.
- No chat, user-generated content or social features.
3. How we use information
- To run the Game and keep it stable, including fixing crashes.
- To understand how the Game is played and improve balance, difficulty and features.
- To show ads that fund the free version, limit how often they appear, and measure their performance.
- To process and restore your purchases through Apple or Google.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To prevent fraud and abuse of ads and purchases.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the Game, each under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) | Analytics, crash reporting, remote settings | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform | Advertising and consent management | How Google uses data from partner apps |
| Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, Game Center) | Distribution, purchases, leaderboards | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Google Play (Billing, Play Games) | Distribution, purchases, leaderboards | policies.google.com/privacy |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public. We do not sell personal information. When you allow ad personalization, Google's use of your advertising identifier for targeted ads may count as “sharing” under some US state laws; you can opt out as described below.
5. Consent and your choices
- Consent form. In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other regions where it is required, the Game shows Google's consent form on first launch, before personalized ads or analytics are used. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Options.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On iOS 14.5 and later you are asked whether Gunorbit may track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalized based on your activity in other companies' apps and websites. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads, depending on your device).
- Remove Ads. A one-time purchase removes banner, interstitial and native ads. Optional rewarded videos stay available if you want their bonuses.
- Rewarded ads are optional. You never have to watch one.
- Delete your data. Uninstall the Game or use Settings → Reset Game to delete everything stored on your device. To ask us to delete analytics or crash data, see section 7.
6. Children
Gunorbit is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and is not part of any “Kids” or “Families” program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, email us and we will delete it.
7. Data retention and deletion
- Game data on your device stays until you reset the Game, clear the app's data or uninstall it. We cannot recover it.
- Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for no more than 14 months, then deleted.
- Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days, then deleted.
- Advertising data is kept by Google under its own retention policy.
- Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you.
To request deletion of analytics or crash data linked to your install, email contact@codenovatech.io with the subject “Gunorbit data deletion”. Tell us your platform (iOS or Android) and roughly when you installed the Game. Because there is no account, the quickest way to cut every link to your device is to uninstall the Game.
8. International transfers
Google and Apple process data in many countries, including the United States. Where data leaves your region, it is protected by the safeguards those companies use, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA and other US state laws, Brazil's LGPD, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent at any time, to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To use them, email us. We will reply within 30 days.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: your consent (personalized ads and analytics where consent is required), our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Game (crash reports, remote settings, non-personalized ads), and performance of a contract (delivering purchases).
10. Security
We keep the data we handle to a minimum. Data sent by the Game travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we rely on the security measures of Apple, Google and Firebase to protect it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game changes. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will tell you in the Game or in the store release notes.
